VANITY
Burning shame my bigot friend
Unable to tell your brother you love him
For fear of “homosexual” reprisals
No sweeter embrace have I encountered
From the arms of those who have nothing
In poverty’s clutches
Massive walls of ego
Must crumble in humility
Before the most valuable lessons can be learned
To walk in unpretentious shoes
The first step towards discipleship
Path to The Father is linear
No room for vanity’s baggage
Share the love we receive
Ultimate admirable destination
