KOOL AID DAD

KOOL-AID DAD

My neighborhood
The Village
Honorable group effort
Together
We raise our beautiful children
In safe surroundings
Life is good
Happiness abundant
In Madison, Alabama
Home Sweet Home
Precious interaction
Fills our days with warm satisfaction
Gentle people
Caring
Nurturing
Sheltered
My proud eyes
Witness to the ritual
Relished rites of passage
As our seeds grow and flourish
Sacred honor
To occupy their world
Skateboards
Foot races
Swings flying high
Soothing skinned knees
“Blow on it”
Age old remedy
Sharing icy drinks
With parched impish gladiators
Such comfort in their gleeful romp
Electric zeal
Fills me with rejuvenating energy
Youth returns to these tired bones
Innocence prevails
Dynamic
Merry
Parental magnet
A role I embrace with fervor
No finer reward exists
Than to be a Kool-Aid Dad
