MY ROLE

MY ROLE

“And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”
Daniel 8:14

I have no doubts in Daniel’s words
My serenity strengthens
Confident
Joyful
Blessed to be His servant
In this day of violent turmoil
Apocalyptic frenzy gains momentum
Tearful talk of rapture runs rampant
Theologians debate the book of Revelation with zeal
Saint John of Patmos in exile
Rome in his defiant sights
As he patiently recorded angelic vision
Modern dooms day harbingers
Shouting impending cataclysm
Most charging fees for such dire predictions
I make no claims to a Prophets insight
Nor am I divinely appointed to recite biblical facts
My role is that of a humble child
Obedient
Faithful
Completely focused on our Saviors growing presence within my soul
Absorbing His wisdom and patience
Truth’s awareness
Slowly fills my open mind
I present no dire announcement of our end of days
My message is simple
I BELIEVE
HE LIVES WITHIN ME
HE IS
THEREFORE AM I
LOVE
COMPASSION
PEACE
No need for mortal opinions
My ego has conjured many over the years
Fear not anxious children of God
Take solace in His words of hope
Comfort draws nigh
Maintain loyal vigilance
Observe the signs surrounding us
Follow Christ in celebration
In the face of increasing evil attack
We are precious in His eyes
He died so we may live in harmony
That’s all the information and proof I need
To boldly carry on

1 Peter 1:6-8 (King James Version)
7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

PETE'S WORDS

PETE’S WORDS

Human weakness
Born a hopeless sinner
Endless selfish deeds
Evil motives
Inherited from Eden’s ancient paradise
Me
A mere mortal man
Fragile
Fallible
Consumed by ego’s insignificance
My own worst critic
As the war rages on
Good versus evil
The fine line often blurred
So susceptible to deception
When I drop my guard for just a moment
Satan
Enters through the back door by stealth
I am blessed with many layers of defense
Filled with Holy Spirit
Gentle guiding company
Book of life to reference
Real friends
Who walk beside me in unity
Awesome presence of Jesus Christ
The very reason for my pilgrimage
I have heard this lesson best described
By my dear friend Pete
Ontario Canada brother
I am “urged” by my Savior
To follow His pristine example
Reality glares in glowing self discovery
My efforts to become unblemished
Divine
Perfect
Godly
Forever bound by fleshly nature
The secret is in daily endeavors
Do my earthly best to model righteousness
Follow His light without hesitation
Love my fellow creatures absolutely
Place the needs of others above my own
Practice humility
Exhibit genuine kindness
And simply enjoy the experience
BE
As my soul grows in His likeness
Mighty redeeming hands
Mold me to His plan
Gift of eternal salvation
To share with all

Psalm 17:14-16 (King James Version)
14From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
15As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

SECULAR SENILITY

SECULAR SENILITY

Observe these times of defiled eloquence
Massive shift to secular senility
Pharmaceutical bribery
Sedation
Controlled euphoria
Eases the sting of enslavement
Treasury stoked treadmill
John Q. Citizen
Reinforced by 12 pack nights
To soothe the pain of indentured servitude
He slowly crumbles beneath the impervious liability
Land baron vultures
Circle his home in greedy anticipation
Insolvent auction
Fruit of his back breaking labor
Sophia Soccer Mom
Her insanely busy schedule
Coping mechanism
She seeks solace in her leased SUV
And her friendly ghetto merchants she frequently visits
Chemical escape
Legal and illegal
As her picket fence lay trampled
Patriot Act Privilege
Pseudonym for totalitarianism
Pure and simple
Blind mice scamper for shelter
Oblivious to the advancing tyranny
Depression driven survival
Our Children
Forced into public brainwash compression chambers
Exposed to filthy fabricated curriculum
God is not invited
Has our system determined we no longer need His guidance and wisdom?
Technology triumphs momentarily
Teenage text message ventilation
Raging frustration
Builds to bulbous crescendo
Exasperation
Inevitable eruption approaching
Irreversible climax
Have you taken a sobering look at America today?
Time to wake up my friends
We are hated by the world
Despised for our military aggression
World dominant foreign policy agenda
Compared to Nazi Germany
This is not the same great country I grew up in
With filtered pride and reverence
Imitation leadership
Puppets
In support of the hidden masterminds
Programmed partisans
Robotic
Emotionless
Pliable
Sad prophecy has arrived
Tithing to support Gods work in the community
Corporate giant “churches”
Misleading dog and pony shows
Tax exempt
State subsidized
Now issue complex financial statements exposing millions
Land ownership that rivals small third world countries
Yet they plead to the congregation for increased sacrifice to ease their deficits
Reminds me of taxation with greedy representation
The President of the United States of America
Once a noble sleight of hand spokesman in honorable tradition
Reduced to a boob puppet
Manipulated by secret powerful hands with global hidden agendas
Libertarians
Conservatives Neocons
Slush funds
Stock well funded war chests
Slick new salesmen
Groomed by the elite
Line up for the next national con job
Weep not His Holy seed
This too must come to pass
Stand firm on solid rock
Light of inner brilliance
Eternal flame of Jesus Christ
Shall overcome and reign triumphantly
This day
Our duty is to carry on
Feed those who are hungry
Share our faith with dismayed mortals
Offer solace and true compassion to anguished souls
Our Messiah has taught us by His actions
To keep sanctified grace
It must be shared freely
With all who suffer
As the axis slowly tilts
The time to spread the truth rapidly expires

16” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
17” Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His suffering in order that we may also share in His glory.”

Future Glory

18” I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be”

3”And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing”
4” Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up”
5” Doth not behave itself unseemingly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil”

REALITY

REALITY

Emerald green Cadillac
With two flat tires
Aging lonely carriage
Waits patiently in the flooding parking lot
For glory days to return
Uninhabited tennis courts
Saturated
Glistening
In the cold December rain
Howling north wind
Whistles down the flue
Crackling fire
Dancing in delight from the wafts icy kiss
Tender words of passion
From my dear Galina
She honors me with complete devotion
Inspirational
A blessing indeed
Reality
Jars me from my dreamy daze
“Peace on earth”
Sounds so right in theory
In my cozy comfortable cocoon
I harbor no misconceptions
Of evil’s vicious grip
On God’s misguided seed
A warrior must battle on
In the face of imposing odds
My conscious is quite clear
Endowed with precious truth
“Inside information” if you will
From the ultimate reliable source
GOOD SHALL CONQUER EVIL
The end is predestined
As the melting point approaches
In humble ordination
My purpose is to serve

CHRISTMAS DAY 2005

CHRISTMAS DAY 2005

“Happy Birthday Jesus”
“Merry Christmas” all
I celebrate our dear Saviors birth
As I reflect on my re-birth through His grace
No need for a specific date
To honor our union
Together
Every day is special
As we walk along arm in arm
I accept the tradition of this holiday
My eyes see past the commercialistic greed
The stress of “performing”
Painfully etched on people’s faces
The rush and rudeness displayed in public
To enjoy the excitement and innocence in our children
Feel the warmth of family
Savor the solitude
Of His Holy blood
Flowing through my veins
I pray for the lost and misguided
Those who are never satisfied
That their gnawing doubt dissolves
Replaced by the peace and joy of Christ
Almighty God
Only You
Surveys the depths of my soul
I praise You in reverence
Gratitude
Complete satisfaction
Glory to You in the highest
My gifts
Compassion
Empathy
Diction of hope
I shall share with all
As You have taught me

17Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
18For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
19The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
Isaiah 38:17-19 (King James Version)

COMPLICATED MATTERS

COMPLICATED MATTERS

You asked me “DO YOU LOVE HER”
How could I conclusively?
Until I released this ghost of you
Clinging to my sensitive heart
Extreme infatuation
Lingered in limbo
For the one I shall never have
Our lives mirror such harmony
Inspirational growth
From our children
To our faith
Together we conquered hell
Yet something quite mysterious
Prevents our happy union
I suppose I simply needed to know why?
Your silence spoke volumes
No longer
Will I float in suspended uncertainty
Hesitation to give her a chance slowly fades
I am ready to proceed
There is only room for one
Within my lonely being
If not you
Then it shall be her
This truth
Destiny
I am willing to accept
Satisfied
My disturbed equilibrium becomes balanced
I am free
To open my mind to the possibilities
Of deepest love and devotion once more
Vulnerable
Hungry
Forlorn
Profound instincts lead me onward
The time has come for resolution
By addressing these delicate feelings
She
Loves me unconditionally
No doubts about her intentions
I owe her complete honesty
And all of me
I am ready to offer her my undivided passion
As I know precisely where you stand
Clear are the mixed signals
I understand your motives
Finally confronted
Our past that haunts me so
Such complicated matters
Gently put to rest
Thank you for your honesty my dear friend
I pray you find that missing piece

SERVANTS PRAYER

SERVANTS PRAYER

Fill me Sweet Lord
My Savior
Fortify my soul with Your Holy Spirit
Guide my path to seek the lonely
Bless my eyes with your compassion
As I gaze upon my brother in need
Give me daily purpose
Destroy my vanity
Challenge me to rise above temptation
Protect me from the evil ones
Fulfill my need to comfort those in pain
Open my heart to those who thirst for companionship
Direct my hands to touch the lives of many
Use me Jesus
Complete my transformation
I long to live in your likeness
Teach me to share my gifts in abundance
Inspire my words and deeds
To glorify your saving grace
In loving gratitude
And humble service
Amen

“If any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also My servant be: if any man serve Me, him will My Father honour”

INTEGRITY

INTEGRITY

William Wright Grimes III
My youngest son
I call him “Wilbur”
His great grandfather’s proper name
The very reason he insisted everyone call him “Buck” in his day
Lazy Sunday morning
Cold outside
Cozy fire crackles in the hearth
Absorbed in animation
His bare toes
Child’s size 13.5
Curled
Clinched in ferocious grip
As your hand would grab a tree branch in desperation
To break a lofty fall
This signals increased intensity
His young battle rages on
In his hand held video game
His posture suddenly relaxes
When triumph arrives
Innocent fascination
He in his play
I in him
Seven years of joy
The journey has only just begun
I am overwhelmed with pride
As I witness his maturing integrity
He changed the TV channel on his own prompting
Last night as “Adult Swim” began
While I was in the shower
His budding curiosity
Enthusiasm to learn forbidden secrets
That his older brother is privy to
Overcome
Conquered
By the “right thing to do”
I pray my extra long hug
And beaming praise of his actions
Reinforced his landmark decision
Thank you Father
My children
Blessings indeed

FATE

FATE

Never fully planned
Always altered from expectations
Seldom seen coming
Usually controversial
Rife with trivial human discontent
This day
I see my destiny through His eyes
There were many hapless moments
Light years ago
Irrational peaks and valleys
Rarely mundane
When I ruled my twisted kingdom
Bizarre Emperor of chaos
Somehow
My life was spared from pitiful self destruction
To share the numerous wrong turns
Greedy selfish choices
That achieved so little
Yet harmed so many
Gracious is my tone
Complex celebration
Imperfect paragon
Can you feel the irony?
Detect my arid humor?
Through shocking words of absolution
Me
Homely work of art
Hard boiled
Smash mouth realism
Toe stepping Bohemian
Sheep feeding poet
Saved by Jesus Christ
Despite so many defects
My fate
To share my road with you
In glaring authenticity
Living proof of grace and mercy
Such joy to be alive!
Thank you for your time
Your sympathetic ear
Cautious consternation
HOPE truly exists
Dig it

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease”

Job 14:7

THOUGHTS

THOUGHTS

Swirling
Stormy
Semblance of subtle rejection
In the name of harmonious friendship
Constant gyrations
So deep
Well camouflaged
Tortured lifetime of gathered momentum
Churns within my impetus heart
Moody peaks
Traumatic valleys
At times
I feel impending detonation
Catastrophic explosion
Alleged human combustion
If I do not release this pressure of truth
Authentic
Intense
Blessed gift of deepest love
Fresh and new
Burns to shower her in bliss
Romantic words that long to surface
Delicate exposure of my soul
Suffocate
Beneath stark reality
Acceptance as it truly is
Not as I think it should be
Alas
She knows
It’s just not meant to be
That will have to suffice

“The sun is always in my eyes, It crashes through the windows, and I’m sleeping on the couch, When I came to visit you, That’s when I knew that I could never have you, I knew that before you did, Still I’m the one who’s stupidAnd there’s this burning, like there’s always been, I’ve never been so alone, and I’ve never been so alive.Visions of you on a motorcycle drive by, the cigarette ash flies in your eyes, and you don’t mind, you smile, and say the world doesn’t fit with you.I don’t believe you, you’re so serene.Careening through the universe, your axis on a tilt, you’re guiltless and free,I hope you take a piece of me with you,And there’s things I’d like to do that you don’t believe in,I would like to build something, but you’d never see it happen”

GIVE

GIVE

Cold wind rifles through my jacket
Tree limbs rapidly growing bare
Naked exposure
As my skull losing hair
I pray for those without
Suffering through this artic blast
Shivering
Unprotected
Hungry
Mother Nature kills quickly
Without adequate shelter
Remember the homeless
As we scurry about in the holiday chaos
Christmas is about love
Caring for others
Celebration of our Saviors birth
I am quite confident
Were He walking among us in the flesh today
You would find Him huddled around a trash barrel campfire
Underneath a bridge
Sharing His blanket
Healing the sick
Gently touching the lives of desperate souls
In genuine compassion
It takes so little to make a difference
A smile
Some kind words
A warm meal
Small change found in your car seat
Believe this my friends
The “High” is unmatched
Blessings bathe those who focus on giving
Instead of receiving
Slow down
Just for a moment
The stores will still be open
Greedily hawking their wares
Look around you through the eyes of Christ
Poverty
Destitution
Starving human beings
Serious needs surround us
Give
Whatever you can
Just give
In the wise words of John Prine
“Say hello in there”

“For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thy hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land”

GRACE

GRACE

1:30 A.M.
Awake
Restless
Irregular sleep habits
Often reveal unpredictable inspiration
All is still
Except for the vibrations of gentle December rainfall
Melodic solo
Clatters on my fireplace vent
Much to my surprise
Spontaneous wisdom greets me
As I absorb an email from my friend
Fascination
Elation
Animation
Electric words of powerful acumen
Pour from her soul
Exploding into my eager perception
Nurtured wisdom
With a hint of warm vulnerability
I study her message in solitude
Quite enchanted by the tender honesty
My heart
Opens in unison with my mind
Gifted sincerity
Shatters walls of apprehension
Refreshing lack of fear
God’s gracious human connection
Eloquent emotional fellowship
Born of simple truth
Penetrates my deepest thoughts at this moment
Genuine survivors are we
Passionate
In our celebration of victory in Christ
Intriguing self discovery
Similar to Shakespeare’s beautiful rose
As it’s delicate layers
Gently open to greet the morning dew
We grow
As we share
“Grace”
An awesome name indeed
Thank you for your guidance
Showing me that “step beyond”
The risen body of our precious Lord
The “salt and light”
Within our fragile human tool
And most of all
Your dear Fathers mantra
“Patience”
“Fortitude”
Strong medicine for this anxious poet
Salvation is such a beautiful thing to behold
As are you my friend

“Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man”

DWAIN

DWAIN

My new friend
Humble
Gracious
Gentle
Powerful burly arms
Leave no doubts that he meant those warm bear hugs
I see God all over him
As he obediently follows the light
Touching so many lives
Laboring through hardship
Compassionately following the example Christ set for us
As our Savior pursued the poor and diseased
Seeking out their misery where they gathered
Healing with His grace
Comforting with His soothing words of hope
Dwain
Inspirational
The passionate fire that burns through his teary eyes
As he tells me of his difficult journey
The seed he so innocently planted two years back
His selfless idea for a ministry
That reaches beyond the walls of the church
Into the shadows
Where painful poverty lives
Now growing in abundance before us
Nobel
Righteous
Enduring
Anointed by Jesus
People ask what he does for a living
“He feeds His sheep” is an appropriate response
I walk beside you my brother
Together
Our family of believers
Survivors
Disciples
Fellow children of our Redeemer
Shall share the heavy load
My life is changed forever
I am moved
Richly blessed by your presence
May His angels continue to assist you in your vision
Selah

“Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:”

HOLY HOSTS

HOLY HOSTS

Creativity
Inspirational forces
Dwell deep within me
Gift of premonition
Swift glimpse enlightens
However inappropriate
My past motives affirm
Flawless visions
Unearthly
Seraphic heavenly beings
Surround my soul with vigilance
Holy hosts
Breathe on me with sanctity
Encouragement
Warms my anxious spirit
Resplendent exhortation
I am steeped in confidence
Gentle unseen hands
Steady me as I stumble
I shall accept no accolades
All glory and praise
To He who saved me with His grace
My Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ
Thank you Father for these blessings
Thy will be done
Today
Always
Amen

CURTAIN CALL

CURTAIN CALL

Modern culture
Falls away
Cagey vultures
Stalk innocent prey

Rhymes are written
For all to see
Ego’s smitten
Heresy

Lethargic tone
Barren eyes
History has shown
Such shameless lies

Wicked men
Heinous deeds
Manifesto sin
Cabalistic creed

Immoral empire
New Babylon
Consumed in fire
Satan’s spawn

Drunken Harlot
From martyrs blood
River of scarlet
Tribulations flood

The time grows near
Curtain call
Signals are clear
The damned shall fall

Make a choice
It’s up to you
Lift your voice
Repentance true

Call on Jesus
Take His hand
Righteous people
From every land

4” And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication”
5“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH”
6” And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration”
7” And the angel said unto me, wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns”
8” The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the fountain of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is”

MERRY CHRISTMAS

“And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that the world should be taxed”
This was the social climate in ancient Nazareth preceding the birth of Jesus Christ
I find the timing of this mandate fascinating
Global taxation by force
As our Lord and Savior was born
Today
The United Nations aggressively seeks to impose a similar global tax
“Millennium Declaration"
Sweeping list of One World objectives
To be achieved by 2015
Coincidence?
None in God’s creation
Revival of the Roman Empire?
So many similarities accompany the quest for New World Order
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord”
As Christmas Day approaches in the year 2005
I cringe at the mockery surrounding this blessed event
Commercialism
Greed
Censure
Thankful Christians
Forbidden to mention His Holy name!
Biblical scholars may disagree on the exact date in history
Myself,
I celebrate Him EVERYDAY
I praise His saving grace
Salvation given so freely
My message to you all
As this society rapidly deteriorates
MERRY CHRISTMAS
HE LIVES
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men”

Luke Chapter 2

HUMAN BLUEPRINT

Human blueprint
Delicate DNA
Complex cell creation
So intricately fragile
Yet sturdy
Designed to overcome
Stand atop the food chain
I marvel at the soul
The one component of the Homo sapiens machine
That never wears out
Built to last forever
Has the amazing ability to regenerate
Can morph from mortal to immortal
Transcend to adulthood
Then return to infancy
In the blink of an eye
Bones break
Become brittle with age
Return to dust
Teeth fall out
Rot with decay
Vision dims
Disease invades this miraculous vessel
Gimmicks flood the market
Claims of cheating death
Defying age
Forget cryogenics
No need for the mythical fountain of youth
There is hope
Good news
Our inner being
Once occupied by the Holy Spirit
Touched by the healing hand of Jesus Christ
Converts to perpetual life
Everlasting
Thanks to the ultimate unselfish act
Gift of infinite breath
Compliments of our Lord and Savior
He who made us
Longs to enjoy our company in His house
Evermore
Amen

HIGHER LEARNING

HIGHER LEARNING

Repetition
Rote learning
Fabricated history lessons
Preparing eccentric zombies
With glazed hard boiled eyes
To be productive upstanding citizens
“Professor”
“Can you show me the truth?”
“Certainly my child”
“Shush now and take your medication”
Rules of engagement
Require brainwashed graduates
Defenseless
Addicted
Void of emotion
Mindless lobotomy
“Easier to control you with my pretty”
Do as you are told
Look the other way
Surrender your rationalization
As dementia settles in
“Be still”
“Do not make a sound”
“Or I shall cut out your tongue”
“There now, that’s better my naïve drone”
“I think you are ready”
“To take your place in our surveillance society”
"Welcome to the New World Order"
“Trust me”
“Big Brother loves you”
“I will provide for all your needs”
“Just follow me”
“A Guillotine?”
“No my silly imbecile”
“Quit squirming while I give you a trim”
“You won’t feel a thing”

PHONE CALL TO A FRIEND

PHONE CALL TO A FRIEND

I called my dear friend Cheryl
Long overdue
So invigorating
Like a warm bath towel fresh from the drier
On a cold wet December night
We talked for hours I suppose
Neither kept time
Simply focused in our joyful visit
We spoke of anger
Silly misunderstandings
Contemplation
Happiness
Hope
Love
We laughed from the depths of our souls
Wonderful medicine for loneliness
Reminiscing of special days gone by
Confessing our impatience
Personal weaknesses
With no fear of judgmental reprisal
We ponder human nature
Quirky
Yet quite endearing
We celebrate our sobriety
Together
We triumph over hellish addiction
Confidently sharing our deepest secrets
In complete trust and safety
Always have
It was her I called to come clean
About my relapse years ago
Ashamed
Scared

Such a beautiful oasis from the daily storms of life
Our opinions differ at times

Not condemn
Expanding our knowledge through each others eyes

ANGELIC DREAM

ANGELIC DREAM

December dream
So vivid and pleasant
I am floating in a skiff
No water below me
Simply air
Angel powered I suppose
My journey begins in a dense jungle
Pythons
Sleek and powerful
Draped in trees of lazy recline
Fierce Crocodiles
Lurk along the shore
Ferocious Tigers
Patrol the path with keen supremacy
All let me pass without incident
As if I were invisible
I ask God to show me the reason for this trip
Silence
Next I drift through a city
Hundreds of people pass by me in daily routine
I hover along in the tiny green dinghy
Unseen by their human eyes
Next I am sitting idle in this magical boat
Outside a cozy home
Inside I see three beautiful sisters
Wives
Mothers
Busily preparing a meal in the kitchen
I can hear their voices
Discussing the various ingredients
Suddenly
Sophia
The tall stunning brunette
Spots me through the window
She greets me warmly
“I have been expecting you”
“You can see me” I question?
“Yes, now follow me”
“I have something to show you”
She leads me down a rolling hill into a swampy valley
We pass three children
One young boy in particular
Perhaps age seven
Turns to me and smiles
He tells me of his baseball game heroics
Such innocent enthusiasm
Reminds me of my youngest son
Sophia leads me to a stack of books on a stone table
Well studied with age
Tattered and torn
All were written by a teenage girl
I ask the nature of these writings
“Soon you shall understand” she replies
Next
I am sleeping in a strange bed
My entire family
Relatives I have not seen in years
All are gathered in this old house
I am roused by my sister Lisa
“You have visitors” she announces with a grin
In walks Sophia, her two sisters
And a lovely blond teenage girl
She clutches the books I had seen earlier
Much to my surprise
I discover that SHE is the author of them all
I tell the young lady I am a writer as well
“I know” she replies
At that mysterious moment, the gleam in her eyes helps me make the connection
I begin to read her work
GOD, SPIRITUALITY, HOPE, PEACE, PRAISE, GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST
My senses are bathed with glory
Then I come across a very old church hymn she had written
I realize these books are extremely vintage literature
Cherished by millions over the years
Yet the author sits beside me
Charming
Youthful
Vibrant
“You and I have similar styles”
“I admire you work” she tells me softly
The dream then ends abruptly
As I awaken to reality
After a strong cup of coffee
I offer you this vision as fast as I can type it
My first hand account of a visit from God’s angels
Messengers
Sent to encourage my craft
Assure me of the chosen path
Offer comfort
Their soothing presence
Secure
Heavenly
Immaculate
Thank you Father
For this guidance
I shall continue my quest
Follow obediently with steadfast diligence
All praise and glory is yours
My Savior
SELAH!

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:”

Acts 2:17

FIRST STRIKE

FIRST STRIKE

Disturbing headlines greet me today
“US Command declares global strike capability”
Such blowhard rhetoric
Our war machine
Pounds their chest of aggression
The chess game escalates
Stakes are higher now
Annihilation of literally millions of innocent civilians
Scary scenario indeed
Fits nicely in the New World Order plans
For global population reduction
Lady Liberty
Land of the free
The new intimidator
Thugs in Armani Suits and flashing satanic hand signs
Our boastful propaganda
Threats of force
AKA bully “BS”
Imperialistic invasion and conquer mentality
Other Nations
With their own formidable military might
Seem amused at our bravado banter
I am certainly not an expert in thermonuclear physics
But common sense tells me the active atomic and chemical arsenals of our neighbors
Are quite sufficient to retaliate in deadly massive response
To our foolish first strikes
Personally, I see no national pride
In picking fights with unpredictable, well armed nations
Their violent and swift reprisal
Would certainly eradicate 200 years of American progress
My watchful eye sees clearly
Prophetic events
Quickly falling into place
Rapid rise of The European Union’s economic clout
The once invincible dollar
Mortally wounded
By insurmountable debt
Without gold backing
Iran steadily prepares for nuclear weaponry
Vows to eliminate Zion
As Russia provides the equipment and technology
Israel
The Fig Tree
Armed to the teeth
Surrounded by hostile enemies
Prepared to stop the Ayatollah’s sinister plans
China
Colossal King of the East
Waits patiently for the right moment to join the fray
Global control of precious oil
The heart of the conflict
Human arrogance
Combustible frenzied greed
The mounting results look bleak
I would be remiss
If I failed to share my solution to this chaos
Hope shines brilliantly
At the end of this dismal tunnel
Jesus Christ
Son of God
Our Lord and Savior
Shall soon call to gather His children
Before the real tribulation hits the fan
Believe me when I say
These woes of mankind we experience today
Pale in comparison to what shall soon arrive
To know Him personally
Accepting His free gift of grace
Is to rise above this horrid human cesspool
Call His name
He waits patiently with open arms
Let the missiles fly
My creator and my best friend
Has prepared a room for me in his Fathers mansion

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you”

John 14:2

LIFES MYSTERIES

LIFES MYSTERIES

Advanced Atlantis civilization
Destroyed by its own technology ?
Possible
UFO’s
Alien beings
Demons in disguise?
Perhaps
The Bermuda Triangle
Vortex of another dimension?
Certainly warrants investigation
Existence of Angels and evil spirits?
Without question
My aging eyes have seen them both
Big Foot
Smelly monster ?
Hairy humanoid ?
Whatever
I wish it peace and privacy
Magnificent crop circles
Precision creations
Craftwork of superior intelligence?
Or drunken pranks
It matters not to me
The Shroud of Turin
Burial cloth of Christ?
Conceivable
Vaporous chemtrails
Crisscross the sky
Poisonous population control agenda?
Feasible
Freemasonry
Secret Societies
Pawns of Satan’s empire?
Massive mainstream evidence
Well documented knowledge
Suggests distinct correlations
But not my place to pass judgment
Nazca lines
Amazing images
Carved in the Peruvian Desert
Fantastic
Mammoth in scope
Ancient landing sites for spacecraft?
I won’t rule out the likelihood
Our world is filled with unexplained mysteries
Baffling circumstances
Supernatural manifestations
My mind
Rests peacefully in this tempest of controversy
For I have seen the future
The good guys win in the end
Salvation Triumphs
Ultimate destruction of evil
No worries my friend
There is no secret passageway out
Jesus Christ
The Way
The Truth
The Life
All the proof I need
Found in God’s Holy Word
The Book of Hope
It’s really not important that you agree with me
Accept my steadfast views
Only that you give sincere thought
To your personal relationship with our Savior
As His time for glorious return draws near

“And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ”

Ephesians 3:9

INVADE ME

INVADE ME

Beautiful feminine one
Stunning gracious lady
Once
Merely a dream of concupiscence
Visionary nymph of blistering desire
Today
You steal my very breath
Invade me
Consume this solitary being
Flood my reclusive heart
With every ounce of you
Become me
Us
One again
Heal gaping wounds of rejection
Passions sweet flame
Searing
I long for completion
Your tenderness
Flowing delicate essence
Drown my fear of loneliness
Ravenous hunger
Gnaws within
For a glimmer of your supple touch
Embrace my weakness
Nurture me
Undiminished satisfaction
Ignite my fractured core
Separate abandoned consciousness
Eternal pleasure shall merge
Only you
Can make me whole once more
Plenary
Together
Selfless sacrifice of ourselves
Complete surrender
Creation of one life
Conjointly
Blessed unity
Encircle my spirit
Stoke my awareness
Inspire my innermost artistry
Symbolic sacrament
I bathe in balmy depths of euphoria
Lost in your hypnotic eyes
Penetrate my staunch defenses
Walk beside me my love
Never leave me
Forsaken past
Tomorrow
Light years away
This exact moment
Peaceful existence
Adulation
Devotion
Sincere respect
Fantasy
Our reality
Built upon denials cessation
Brutal honesty
I am yours
I love you deeply

ALTER CALL

The glorious presence of God surrounds us every moment of our lives. Our precious Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit are waiting patiently for us to call on them. He longs to have a personal relationship with all of His children. It grieves Him terribly when just one sheep is lost. He sees our failures, our lust, our greed, our selfishness. He will never force His will or invitation upon us. He stands aside and allows us to choose our own path.

20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.”
21 “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne.”
22” He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches”

Revelation 3: 20-22

Our fragile human minds simply cannot comprehend the depth and power of His love for us all. The closest comparison I can come up with is the intense love we have for our children or loved ones. Even that adoration pales in contrast to the unconditional esteem we hold in the eyes of our Savior. He died for us all so that we may live and enjoy eternal peace and joy with Him. Look around you, He is there. You will see Him in the bright, innocent eyes of a child, the gentle smile of a stranger who seems hauntingly familiar, in acts of unexpected kindness and compassion.

Do you know Him as I know Him? If not, I sincerely urge you to call on Him and He will save you with His mercy and healing grace. He will set you free from the human bondage that chokes your spirit and blocks true happiness and joy. This wonderful gift from Christ is free. All you have to do is ask Him for forgiveness of your sins, acknowledge His presence as the Son of God, and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit and guide your life from this day forward.

What are you waiting for? Are you afraid of what others may think of you? Fear the loss of control of your life perhaps? My friend, we NEVER WERE in control of our own lives. My 42 year attempt at controlling my own life left a trail misery, divorce, and near alcoholic death to show for my efforts.

FEAR HAS NO WINGS

Go to Him, He calls you to walk with Him in peace. Your life will never be the same.

Blessings,

Bill Grimes Jr.

ME

ME

My bed remains unmade
I just don’t see the logic
Perhaps my silent protest
Against uniformity
I shave my face
Only when my son complains
Not for the vanity of a masculine beard
Simply my dislike for a razor skimming my skin
Sleep
I wish
A few precious hours at a time
My love for ice cream
Well documented
Common knowledge
Manifest
By the size of my behind
I despise most vegetables
Always have
Yet my Doctors tell me I am healthy as a horse
My diverse taste in music
Still rocking at age 46
Deafness in my right ear
Notes are muffled but stimulating
Metallica to Mozart
The Cure to Chopin
Ziggy Marley to ZZ Top
Extreme appreciation for their art runs deep
My love for my children is unconditional
Despite my many failures as a father
I use the same bath towel
Sometimes weeks at a stretch
Mineral water tastes awful to me
New Mexico Fluorite on the other hand
Breathtaking
I am sensitive and complex
Yet simple
And quite stubborn on occasion
I am a child of God
Unique
Called to service
Blessed
Grateful
