Physically sick
Remembering the pain
Lessons not in vain
Jesus Christ my friend
His sacrifice explained
Ripping rhymes of reason
Failed to catch my eye
Utter devastation
Longing just to die
Act of helpless prayer
Assuming no one cared
Saved my weary soul
Soothing sharp despair
Lightning bolt of love
Penetrates my eyes
Offering example
Salvation conquers lies
Living proof of grace
Etched upon my face
Testament unclouded
Life beyond disgrace
