Sakes alive
Almighty God
Pulling out all stops
To get our vain attention
What more proof do we need?
For skeptics to take heed
Evidence alarming
Pangs of woe increasing
The chosen day comes quickly
“Like a thief in the night”
When every knee shall bow
In humble retribution
Penance for our wretched ways
My words of caution echo
With hopes of saving souls
In witness to His glory
Awe-inspiring grace
At hand
For all who seek His mercy
