Awash in a sea of self-pity
Victim of my own self-destruction
Mired in evil motives
Prostrate to Satan’s elixir
Desensitized
Torpid
Behold
I stand before you now
Revitalizing force of Christ
Surging from within
Born again
His holy power
I claim in victory
Amazing new abilities
To discern things as they are
Wicked intentions
Lurk behind the mask of prosperity
Injudicious opinions
Formed by judgmental brethren
My words of truth
Brutal in honest reflection
Awkward
Distress those who claim to know me
Left handed compliments
Ignored by insignificance
No regrets
Accept or walk away
This choice is up to you
No longer a slave to social graces
Human approval
Yoke of popularity
Forsaken
Smolder in the ashes of the man I once was
My job
Deliver hope to those who still suffer
Simplistic autopsy
Reveal the morbid disease
Offer past misery
As proof of His saving grace
Withholding nothing
