THE DREAM
The dream
Tiny infant
Stillborn
Amniotic death
Fills oxygen starved lungs
Precious gasp
Epic subsistence struggle
The miracle
Hand of God
Almighty
Healing touch of life
Placed gently on his minuscule chest
Triumphantly
The child awakens
Fighting for survival
Holy breath
Expels fatal fluids
Angelic eyes
Filled with wonder
The silent stranger
Glowing truth radiates from his gentle glance
“Be not afraid”
“For I am with you always”
Welcome little one
Your journey has just begun
