SULTRY FACE OF TIME
So many wonderful things
I long to do with my life
Altered so
Across the sultry face of time
Priorities
Once steeped in urgency
This day
Now adrift in placid redress
At peace with destiny
To be a good father to my children
A loving brother
Dedicated servant
Disciple to our precious Lord
Sufficient
Fulfilling
Absolute
Nagging loneliness
Selfish craving for betrothed bliss
Perhaps a gift hereafter
If it’s meant to be
Meanwhile
My mission is simplistic
To live His holy word
Forevermore
