Temporary oasis from the cold
Suspicious glare from the security guard

Trained to trust no one
He sizes me up like a trophy
A hero in his mind
He dreams of glory and foiled hijack attempts
The arrogant man in first class
Appalled that anyone would dare board HIS plane before him
Precious mahogany angel
Her delicate infant hands clutch her mother’s hair
Adventure bathes her cherub face
The elderly couple
Cling to each other
They wonder where our world has gone wrong
Bewildered
A comfort to each other
Shelter from the storm
