Instinctive response
To deepest soul stirrings
Glaring proof indeed
My mortal fall from grace
Imagination
Blessed gift of wonder
At times
A somber curse
Innocent chain reaction
Set ablaze
By shameful lack of faith
The holy child within
Thrives when unencumbered
Free from secular shackles
Simple trust
In His soothing words of peace
