ONE HEART WHISPERS
ONE HEART WHISPERS
One heart whispers
He woos her with poetic prose
Another
Intently absorbs
Eager for consummation
Glaciers of ancient fear
Melt with burning passion
Boiling blood eruption
Life’s claret inferno
Harmony
Sweet melody
Envelopes all
Within its sacred grasp
Soulful cantata
Greets dawn’s glowing smile
As two become one

NICK DRAKE
NICK DRAKE
Sweet strings
Plucked with delicate hands
Surgical precision
Soulful expression
Melodic serenade
Haunting vocals
Filled with mortal pain
Few could understand
I do
She chose another
Your fragile maestro mind
Simply snapped from the heartache
Brilliance
Sheer genius
“Pink Moon”
“Things behind the sun”
“River Man”
“Cello Song”
You stir my soul deeply
Rest in peace dear Minstrel
Brothers are we
“So forget this cruel world
where I belong
I'll just sit and wait
And sing my song.
And if one day you should see me in the crowd
Lend a hand and lift me
To your place in the cloud.”

VISION
VISION
I can offer no rational explanation
For this trip I’ll share with you
I dreamed of Christ’s return
One sunny winter’s day
Quite awestruck by the imagery
Stunning realism
It all began in a dentist chair
No offense intended
My dear Dr. Wall
A phobia slightly worse
Close second to my dread of dry heaves
A villainous stranger hovered over me
Dark
Foreboding
Forcing strange objects
Into my mouth and nose
Outside
Commotion erupted
Panic stricken folk
Terrified of the gigantic foreign planet
Burnt orange
Crater pocked
Hovering in the still and blackened sky
I leapt from the reclining torture rack
Bolted through the door
Once outside
Terror filled hysteria
Assorted blueprint folk
Desperately frenzied
Most seeking answers
Enigmatic apparition
I explained the book of Daniel
Sealed prophecies of coming mysteries
The moon appeared in the distance
Blood red
An ominous scarlet glow
I followed a spastic mob into a church
In process was a ritual
Bearded brown robed priests
Were shouting vague instructions
My instinct screamed blasphemy
As I sensed the nature of their deception
In haste I exited this evil trap
Found myself in a white row boat
An angel then appeared
A beautiful brunette maiden
“Stroke with all your might towards the light dear child” said she.
“Never look back”
“Ignore the orcas that surround you”
The skiff sliced through the ebony treacherous deep
The beacon grew quite brilliant
I heard the voice of my Savior
“Fear not my son, for I am with you”
“My kingdom you will share”
Indescribable peace
Filled my eager soul
I shouted encouragement to those around me
Many struggled as they sank
Beneath the briny sea
Have faith
Be strong said I……..your hope is drawing nigh.
I heard thousands pleading for forgiveness
Tears flowing down contorted cheeks
Plucked from the gloomy death
As their prayers of lamentation were swiftly answered
Millions shouted obscenities
Defiant as they met their doom
I soon arrived at a house of refuge
Similar to a hotel of mammoth stature
My room had a balcony
There I witnessed these unfolding miracles
In safety cloaked comfort
Ancient scriptures came to pass
Before my astounded eyes
The phone interrupted the stillness
Lucifer on the line
His tinny voice
Akin to a telemarketer
Hawking sales pitch
To dial into his vulgar web
As I slammed down the receiver
My son awakened me from this vision
Decide my cherished reader
Absorb my tale with however many grains of salt you wish
I believe this trance to be a sign
In proximity to our Kings return
Take heed
Act accordingly
Dismiss me
Or respond.
Salvation
Is a personal choice

I FEEL
I FEEL
I’ve heard the talk
Water cooler gossip
Destiny manifest
“It was meant to be” they say
Partially true dear brethren
Yet barely scratching the surface
Amusing anecdote
To this aging word man-child
Blinding revelation
Has melted crusted eyelids
Truth is paramount
Raw
Pointed reality
No mistakes in God’s master plan
Human interaction
Varies by degrees
Sincerity
To cordial acceptance
Obligatory part of loving all
Delicious wonder
Floods my sensitive soul
I feel
Rather than see
Only divine presence
Could transform a hardened heart as mine
To those who call me friend
You know me without question
Future companions
Be patient with my quirky ways
Radioactive humility
This wicked world
Has never been my home
A glorious mansion waits
Prepared by gentle nail scarred hands
Come with me
I will show you
Eternal trip to magnificence
Has only just begun

VISUAL FOREPLAY
Poets gather
Consortium of raw emotion
Visual foreplay
Pointed words
Flow like shed blood
Penetrating
Prophetic
Genuine love inherent
We all have something to say
How we are perceived
Not paramount
As a gnawing desire for a hearing
Monumental world events
Bombard bewildered children
Reckless disorder
Coming down fast
Hard
Ferocious times indeed

“Don’t tell me what the poets are doing”
“Don’t tell me that they are talking tough”
“Don’t tell me that they are anti-social”
“Somehow”
“Not anti-social enough”
“All right”

STATE OF THE NEW AGE CHURCH
STATE OF THE NEW AGE CHURCH
Emphatic disillusion
Persistent Gnostic blather
Uninformed suckers
Lacking faithful vision
The times
Come as rapid fire
Social disintegration
Moral degradation
State of perpetual confusion
Borne on blind illusion
Cattle march to slaughter
Brown eyed innocence
One way ticket to” cow college”
Misled to the bloody end
My humble prayers
Sincere
Compassionate
For those who suffer in silence
Balls of steel
Now rusted
The herd parade
Mired in disarray
Spiritual snipe hunt
Betrayed by greedy hucksters

KILIMANJARO
KILIMANJARO
Garbage invades
Truth sometimes offends
Calculated swipe
At the powers that be
Neither yield
Nor tolerate
Poet’s pain
Militant ganglion
My fertile mind’s Kilimanjaro
Floating on clouds of pepper gas
Unearthed burial shroud
Exposure of a blackened halo
No reprieve for perfect attendance
Noise pollution
Suffocation
Mental oxidation
Political masturbation
Skeletons haunt the war chest water closet
Neighborly asphyxiation
In the name of amelioration
The end

SILENT BED
SILENT BED
They forged a deal in hell
To feed each others sickness
Only myths remain
All slowly stripped away
Nervous denouement
Windswept isolation
Greedy manifestos
Diametric forces
Converged in disarray
Ostracized ambition
Steaming pile of shattered dreams
Undisciplined fringe of lunacy
Impatient whip hand
Significant damage done
Her vow to him
“Forever”
Sadly
She lied
Weakened
In her lonely state
Blistering thirst
Slaked by immorality
Silent bed
Unmade
Where lust once cavorted
Haunting echoes
Bygone consternation
“Daddy’s drunk again”

ORCHID SYMPHONY
ORCHID SYMPHONY
Synthetic summation
Jury of my peers
Sentence me to normality
Sliced
Diced
Consciousness lobotomy
Conformity clone
A fate
Worse than death
So many sheep to feed
So little time remains
Glory looms on the horizon
Delicate Orchid Symphony
Subtle word man dreams
Positive impact
Human compassion
Tender touch
These gifts I share with you
Loves libretto
Flows freely from soulful depths
Holy gift of unification
No mask of falsehood here
As He
Designed me to be

SLEEPY EYES
SLEEPY EYES
Misty morning
Dripping with eternal promise
Sleepy eyes
Steaming cappuccino
Holy quiet time
Reflection on abundant blessings
I ponder the unknown
Calculated plans
By Him who lights my path
Optimism
Hope
Overwhelming trust
Dynamic genesis
Each new day
An adventure
Smiling as I watch him slumber
My precious loving son
Flotation
Peaceful repose
Soon
We shall resume our weekend escapades
Me
A miracle
Defies all human odds
A dead man
Not so long ago
Now
Forever animated
No solid strategy
I follow in obedience
An honor
Grateful joy
To serve exalted Christ

FRUITION
FRUITION
Skimmed stubble
Residue
Abandoned dreams
Course
Ripped screaming from sensitive cells
Lay dejected
In the cold porcelain sink
Clean shaven genesis
Stinging razor burn
No human hand can soothe
Dramatic lies
Once again
He fooled himself
No hopes of ever coming true
Fruition
Fleeting façade
Shimmers in the distance
Momentarily out of reach

TAKE HEED
TAKE HEED
The faithful shuffle onward
Demonic winds arise
God’s chosen land of honey
Now leads the way to carnal destruction
Abortion
Murder
Plain and simple
Same sex fornication
Tribe’s cohabitate in greed
Sordid genocide
Babel’s wicked tongue
Nations trample neighbors
Global commerce bears an evil mark
To buy and sell become divine
Our egos golden calf
Microchip technology
Allegiance sworn to minds of men
Mask of cunning duplicity
Not so mystifying
Universal warming
Greenhouse blisters boil
Silent intuition
Fear cannot transfix
Holy preservation
From clutches
Vile and sinister
Let he who has an ear
Take heed

SILENT TEARS
SILENT TEARS
Silent tears
Ancient loves remorse
Trickle down her tender cheek
Heartache
Excruciating wound
Jagged shards of haunting guilt
Hope fades
With each new adventure
Imposing walls of self intellect
Shadows cloak her woe entombed
Curse of apprehension
Mortal magnetism
Tragedy of lost fascination
