COMPASSION

COMPASSION

Compassion comes when you least expect it
An unfortunate slip on the ice
A broken ankle
A piece of cardboard placed gently under my head for comfort
A blanket that appeared from somewhere
Two loving souls on their knees in the snow rubbing my arms to keep me warm
A dear friend blocking the icy wind with their body while waiting for the ambulance
Words of support and reassurance that help was on the way
A long wait in the emergency room so I would not be alone
A ride home at midnight
Saltines to ease the vomiting
A helping hand up the stairs
Phone calls, food, visits, personal service
Random acts of kindness I will never forget
It is sometimes harder to receive love than it is to give it
Love that comes from the heart
Overwhelming
Inspired by HIM….BRILLIANT, WARM, GENUINE

I am grateful my dear friends
I am truly blessed
