A day of independence

Laced with sentiment

Lonely width and breadth

Achieved by patriotic death

Heroic last breath

Tribal knowledge gained

Only truth remains

As I ponder immortality

Just what it means to me

I’m grateful for the guidance

Transcendental clarity

I see

The mystery

Of our universe

Raw power

Majesty

A force far superior

To me

As it’s meant to be.......
