I come to life
Daybreak arrives
Bleary eyes
My first cup of coffee
Steaming
Liquid energy
Focused
My mind on you
The birds begin their morning serenade
In honor of the sun
I feel you
Warm
Soft
Nestled in my arms
Perfect fit
Fragrant hair
Tender lips
You
An extension of me
I bask in the bliss
Overwhelming
Sheer passion
Then reality comes crashing in
For a brief and beautiful moment in time
Distance vanished
You were here with me
I miss you so
