ANGELS
Zero hour
Caustic sting of eviction
Harsh reality
Unemployment’s chaperone
Hardships wild ride
Crashing down in exasperating deluge
Angels arrive
Bearing gifts of heavenly origin
Borne on wings of mercy
Compassionate anonymous friend
Delivers me from homeless distress
In the name of Jesus Christ

For once I am speechless
Praise to God and His humble servants
Those who walk in holy benevolence
Overwhelming demure gratitude
I am blessed to receive
As are those who give in silence
My chalice overflows
With bottomless abundance
Favor of His promised miracles
As it is written
