JUST A MAN
Violent mental struggle
Daily battle rages on
Seamy soaked blanket
So often drowns my restless spirit
Vehement opposition
To remain a sensitive being
Corporate clone wars
In the name of unbridled greed
Methodical baby steps
Brainwashed automation
Such irrational approval
Existence I truly despise
To sell my soul for gilded gain
Hope surrounds my quest
In the eyes of those who deem me genuine
No desires have I
To attain prophetic prominence
I’m not a preacher
Just a man
Clinging to my innocence
To serve without falter
My fiercest ambition
