PETE’S WORDS
Human weakness
Born a hopeless sinner
Endless selfish deeds
Evil motives
Inherited from Eden’s ancient paradise
Me
A mere mortal man
Fragile
Fallible
Consumed by ego’s insignificance
My own worst critic
As the war rages on
Good versus evil
The fine line often blurred
So susceptible to deception
When I drop my guard for just a moment
Satan
Enters through the back door by stealth
I am blessed with many layers of defense
Filled with Holy Spirit
Gentle guiding company
Book of life to reference
Real friends
Who walk beside me in unity
Awesome presence of Jesus Christ
The very reason for my pilgrimage
I have heard this lesson best described
By my dear friend Pete
Ontario Canada brother
I am “urged” by my Savior
To follow His pristine example
Reality glares in glowing self discovery
My efforts to become unblemished
Divine
Perfect
Godly
Forever bound by fleshly nature
The secret is in daily endeavors
Do my earthly best to model righteousness
Follow His light without hesitation
Love my fellow creatures absolutely
Place the needs of others above my own
Practice humility
Exhibit genuine kindness
And simply enjoy the experience
BE
As my soul grows in His likeness
Mighty redeeming hands
Mold me to His plan
Gift of eternal salvation
To share with all
Psalm 17:14-16 (King James Version)
14From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
15As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
